After eight successful years at Craigmyle Fundraising Consultants, Director Christine Buccella has announced her decision to retire, stepping down at the end of March 2026.

Christine joined Craigmyle in 2018 and became a Director in 2022. During her time with the company she has played a key role in supporting many clients, strengthening Craigmyle’s impact across the heritage, education and charity sectors. Her work has helped organisations develop ambitious fundraising strategies and secure funding for projects that will benefit communities for many years to come.

Reflecting on her time at Craigmyle, Christine said she was proud of what had been achieved and grateful to have worked alongside such a talented and committed team.

I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of committed clients and colleagues, supporting projects of all kinds from early ideas through to delivery. It has been a privilege to play a part in bringing them to fruition.

Notable heritage projects include working with Holy Trinity Hastings to raise £4.5m for its major Heritage@HTH project to restore the Grade II* listed church and create a new heritage experience for the town, and working with Southwark Council and the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery to help secure funding for the restoration of the historic East Lodge. In the education sector, Christine contributed to campaigns such as successful capital campaign at Francis Holland School and a development plan for the University of Greenwich.

Fellow Director, Sian Newton said:

Christine’s drive, energy and expertise have been instrumental in shaping where we are today. She has supported a wide range of clients with dedication, insight and professionalism, and her contribution to Craigmyle will have a lasting legacy.

On behalf of everyone at Craigmyle, we warmly wish her a long and happy retirement. Thank you for being such a wonderfully sparkling and generous colleague – you will be greatly missed.

Craigmyle is also pleased to welcome Aaron Barbour as Director, who joined Craigmyle in 2023 and will help lead the next phase of the company’s work supporting charities, heritage organisations and educational institutions with their fundraising ambitions.
