Christ Church, St Leonards on Sea

Aerial view of church and surrounding cityscape

Over three years, Craigmyle worked with Christ Church, St Leonards on Sea, a Grade 2* listed building, to secure funding for urgent restoration works to its exterior elevations.

In total, £530,000 in funding was secured for the project, including two major grants from the Historic England’s Cultural Recovery Fund for Heritage totalling £280,000, and a £250,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This funding has allowed Christ Church to complete all of the restoration work to the external façade of the building, leading to its removal from the Heritage at Risk Register, and to create an associated heritage community engagement project. Craigmyle is proud to have helped the church secure a level of funding that has never before been achieved.
