FAB helps children and young people with sight loss and visual impairment across the UK reach their full potential.
In 2021, Craigmyle started working with FAB to review and manage its fundraising. With ambitious plans to expand its service delivery, we’ve worked with FAB to grow income, primarily from trusts and foundations. We researched previous trust supporters and identified potential new ones, coordinating the drafting of tailored applications and managed any necessary follow up. We developed robust practical systems, including the necessary information required by funders, whilst building a close and effectve working partnership with the client. In 4 years, income has tripled to more than £200,000 in 2024 (from £65,000 in 2020), allowing Fight Against Blindness to commit to new projects including in London with Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Over this time, we’ve helped plan and adjust FAB’s fundraising strategy to support sustainability, including increasing unrestricted grants, building the number of multi-year supporters and planning a Friends scheme.
In addition to fundraising, Craigmyle provides strategic advice on a range of areas – from communications to governance, operational development to impact reporting – to support this small and growing charity.
