In 2023, King’s approached Craigmyle for help in building a sustainable growth plan that maximised return on investment and included a focused communication schedule.

Working closely with the school team, we helped test appetite for transformational fundraising campaigns and align internal leadership behind a clear, deliverable plan.

We conducted a thorough analysis of fundraising capacity, held stakeholder interviews, and reviewed their case materials, offering recommendations. We identified opportunities to leverage volunteers and a development board to enhance the fundraising function.  Key features included:

  • Interviews with alumni, governors, parents, and senior staff;
  • Testing of campaign purpose, structure, and scale;
  • Options analysis for presentation of campaign projects;
  • Identification and research into key constituencies;
  • Development of case messages, donor propositions, and naming opportunities;
  • Strategic recommendations around income potential, internal resourcing, campaign planning and timelines.

Our final report provided comprehensive analyses, recommendations, and ongoing support to ensure leadership buy-in and successful implementation. These engagements successfully informed Board-level decisions on campaign readiness and provided the foundation for launch planning, with clear priorities and frameworks for donor cultivation.
